Brian Qualley

I started tattooing in 1986, Don Nolan (Acme Tattoo, St Paul) broke me into the professional tattoo world in 1989.

For a short time I also worked for Dave Yurkew in south Minneapolis. I was sick of the city life so in 1998 I opened up Happy Tattoos in my home town of Harris, MN and I’ve been happy happy happy ever since.

I have been creating art my whole life, in many mediums. I started tattooing in 2014 here at Happy Tattoos, and have been refining my skill continuously.

I am versatile in many styles and full of imagination. I enjoy using the body as a canvas to enhance movement and flow in large pieces, as well as incorporating the elements of design to elevate smaller pieces.  

Elysha Qualley

I am Brian’s youngest son, I was born in 2002 and have been hanging around the tattoo shop in Harris since I can remember.

I’ve always enjoyed drawing and art in general. I started tattooing when I was 19, and plan to someday take over the shop from my dad. I look forward to the future and carrying on what he started.
